Terracotta Floor Cleaning – Shepperton – Middlesex

This Terracotta floor in Shepperton, Middlesex was in need of a deep clean. It had been laid about 15 years ago and the seal had worn away over time through wear and cleaning.

We first used a high alkaline cleaning solution with a heavy duty rotary scrubbing machine. the grout line and corners were all scrubbed by hand.

The soil and cleaning slurry was then rinsed thoroughly and vacuumed away from the Terracotta leaving the surface ready for a new seal.

A period of 24 hours was given to allow the Terracotta floor to dry completely. We then applied 7 coats of low sheen topical sealer. Thus creating a protective layer to stop soil and spillages penetrating the tiles. As you can see from the pictures below, the colours in the Terracotta are also enhanced.
